SCEA lets you redownload deleted movies from PS Store, but only once
Ever deleted movies you bought from the PS Store to free up space on your hard drive before realizing too late that “D’oh! Movies can’t be redownloaded! Why, Sony? Why?” Well, don’t fret about it too much. Apparently, all you have to do is contact SCEA and they’ll let you download it again. Only once though. If you decide to delete it again, well, tough cookies.

Well, don’t fret about it too much. Apparently, all you have to do is contact SCEA and they’ll let you download it again. Only once though. If you decide to delete it again, well, tough cookies. The redownload is considered as a “one-time courtesy,” so don’t push your luck.
The download restriction, although necessary, makes you wonder if it’s worth it to actually purchase movies from the PS Store. If you keep purchasing movies, you’ll eventually have to delete some when you need some extra space, making your previous purchases worthless. And then what happens if the system becomes obsolete? Do your purchased movies die with the console?
Lesson for the day, folks: sometimes it’s better to just rent.
