SCEE announces sequel to Pursuit Force

Pursuit Force - Image 1This just in folks! Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) just announced that it kind of misses the splendid blend of driving and shooting Pursuit Force offered when it was first released back in March last year. And so, they decided to make a sequel and called it Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice.

The new game, according to SCEE, still revolves around Capital City and the players’ quest to restore justice. But it wouldn’t be a sequel if it doesn’t offer anything new, right? Right. So in Extreme Justice, players will have to go face to face against two new gangs: The Raiders who specializes in high-ace ambushes and professional bank robbers The Syndicate.

To make things more exciting, the Viper Division has been added to the already able roster of Pursuit Force. The new division also aims to clean the city of scum, offering a graceless and harsh competition to the police. In short, they are good guys who love to play it dirty.

Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice will be released for the PSP and the PS2 in the summer of 2007. Its other noteworthy features include:

  • An array of new vehicles to jump between such as gigantic tanks, trains and even the wings of an aeroplane
  • A bunch of new vehicles such as a bike and sidecar, jet ski and a hovercraft
  • Seamless switch from ground combat to air-based vehicles, such as helicopters, to take down the enemy with mounted high caliber guns
  • Four player WiFi
  • The Justice Bar which gives players the ability to regain strength and prolong a mission
  • Three difficulty levels
  • A host of new recruits – Sarah (Air Support), Gage (High Speed Pursuit), Ash (Special Operations) and Preach (Heavy Assault)
