SCEE forums starts its own PS3 trophy ranking board?
Seems like the Official PlayStation Forums in Europe has launched its own PlayStation 3 trophy ranking board. Guess they wanted to get more out of their trophies than just being a pretty addition to the XMB. From the looks of it, it’s not an official ranking board. It really should be, though. Seems like the Official PlayStation Forums in Europe has launched its own PlayStation 3 trophy ranking board. Guess they wanted to get more out of their trophies than just being a pretty addition to the XMB.
From the looks of it, it’s not an official board. My bad French and the insufficient Google translation of the forums reveal that the board is updated manually. Players who wish to rank their trophy acquisitions against others will inform the forums if they get any new trophies.
This really ought to have been a feature of the trophy system to begin with. Sony should give players a chance to match up their achievements (I said the A word!) against other players. Instead, forum communities have to do it manually – in the age where the Large Hadron Collider is possible, no less.
What’s the point of trophies if the only spirit of competition is against yourself?
