SCEE: No 120GB PlayStation 3 units for the UK
The recent 120GB PlayStation 3 rumor has reached the ears of Sony‘s higher-ups. The company’s Europe branch has sent out its official word regarding their stance on the possibility of the new rumored SKU hitting their soil.

As you guys may recall, there are ongoing rumors that Sony may be planning to release 120GB to 160GB PlayStation 3 SKUs in the near future.
The rumor further indicated that the new units would carry the equally new DualShock 3 controller, and a Blu-ray copy of Spider-Man 3.
In light of this bit of speculation, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe sent out a spokesman to state that there were no plans regarding this new unit, at least within their territory. Quoting the spokesman’s exact words:
We (SCEE) do not currently have any plans to release a 120GB PlayStation 3 in the UK.
Sony Computer Entertainment America has yet to make any comments regarding this rumor. At the moment, this bit of speculation’s being helped along by another rumor indicating that the PS3’s 80GB version is being pulled out by local retailers.
