SCEE: Who said Uncharted 2’s coming out in October? We didn’t

Did SCEE give out an October release date for Naughty Dog‘s Uncharted 2: Among Thieves? Apparently, GoOnline reported that an SCEE representative told them that the game is indeed “currently scheduled” for that month. But now SCEE is saying that they did not say anything of the sort.

Via VG247, SCEE clarified that:

We’ve not announced any official release date for Uncharted. It’s scheduled for an ‘autumn release’, and we’ll obviously announce an exact date in due course.

For their part, GoOnline got in touch once again with their contact from SCEE and was able to set the record straight after being told that the October date was actually for the game’s review code and assets.
