Screenshots, nobles, commoners… Bladestorm: Hundred Years War
As many of you know, Koei‘s first game for the PS3 and Xbox 360 is based on the Hundred Years War between England and France and boasts the following:
- A free mission system (you can choose between playing for England or France).
- AI algorithms that make units fight as corps.
- The capacity to have up to 65,000 characters on the screen all at once.
And now, Koei, the makers of Dynasty Warriors and Kessen, have released more screenshots for Bladestorm: Hundred Years War. They’ll probably keep releasing screenshots and trailers for a while to build up momentum for the game’s launch early next year.
We have four batches of screenshots that our press source says is for both PS3 and Xbox 360. The first set is of the French (I think they started the war). The second set is of the English. The third set is of Joan of Arc. The fourth set is of Prince Edward the Black Prince (except Koei’s version looks less like the great warrior of the Edwardian War and more like some sissy shampoo model, hehe).
By the way, Prince Edward lived long before Joan of Arc (Edward died in 1376 while Joan was born around 1412). So either this game spans the centuries, or this game has a lot of flashbacks, or this game is “only somewhat kind of very loosely based” on the history. But who cares – it still looks fun and I’m keeping my eye on this one.
The screenshots are after the jump – go “Full Article” go “Full Article” go go!
