Researchers from investment firm Goldman Sachs have revealed that they believe Apple will be rolling out revisions for both the Apple iPhone and the Apple TV come next year.
According to AppleInsider, analyst David Bailey was advised by his Far Eastern contacts that the Cupertino-based company has “several new products lined up for 2008”.
Among them is a second-generation iPhone which, according to Bailey, is currently in the “final design phase”. The second-gen iPhone is estimated to launch in the second half of 2008. Before it becomes available, Bailey believes that Apple will first launch a smaller upgrade that has more flash memory.
Bailey also believes that Apple is working on some changes for the Apple TV. These changes could include an LCD display and are expected to come sometime in the second half of next year.
Apple’s entire Mac line-up is also expected to be refreshed in 2008, but the potential launch of a subnotebook is still hazy. Bailey says according to one supplier, the product may be pushed out due to possible design issues.
