Sega Bass Fishing on the way to the Wii?

We spotted a NeoGAF post from ram with a report that Sega Bass Fishing may be coming to the Nintendo Wii sometime in 2008. The game, known in Japanese as Get Bass, was originally developed by Sega for its short-lived Dreamcast console and arcades. The game proved a lot of fun as it made a seemingly docile sport engrossing to a wide audience.

From what we understand, the game is going to be an almost-direct port of the original title with very similar graphics and mechanics, along with some added features. The old Sega Bass Fishing controller worked amazingly well, and it looks like the Wiimote will deliver some good results too.
