Sega still has plans of releasing Yakuza 3 in the US
The way this news bit came out was a bit funny. The PlayStation Blog posted on the release of Valkyria Chronicles 2 for the PSP, but the comments section got a little off topic. Lucky for us, Sega assistant community manager Aaron Webber made it a point to reply to a few posts, so we are all treated to this piece of info – Sega still has plans of releasing Yakuza 3 in the US.

Good news, eh papajag? Same goes for all you guys looking to play the game.
Here’s the post from Aaron Webber:
UNCyrus – let me brighten your day first off by confirming something big:
Yakuza 3 is not cancelled – and the possibility for localizing it does, in fact, still exist.
The original news story that went around about Yakuza 3 being declined for the US was false, and localizing the game still remains a big point of discussion for many people here at SEGA, and especially those of us on SEGAÂ’s community team.I know itÂ’s far from an announcement, but I just felt you should know that the chance does still exist.
Thanks for supporting SEGA and quality games like Valkyria Chronicles – I’ll be around with more news on VC/VC2 soon!
Well, there you have it. We’ll keep you posted once more pertinent info comes along.
