You really have to love Japanese translation web sites. It makes trying to understand the Japanese language and culture so much more amusing. Where else can you find a game that trains you to increase your “sensible power?”

The game we’re referring to is Common Sense DS Adult Training. If you think Nintendo’s made another weird game, you’re probably right… if you’re not really from Japan and don’t understand their culture so well. It’s a game that teaches you the finer points of common sense (or sensible power) and teaches you the manners you have to adopt in the Japanese business scene. It will also quiz you on business and IT terms.

How “Japanese” is it? Well, here’s a sample question translated by the folks at Kotaku. Situation: You and your three business associates are going to take a taxi. Given the four free seats on the taxi, who would sit where if you were to think in order of superiority in the company?

At least, it might become a hit if parents started buying the game for their kids to brainwash them into mindless corporate drones! Now, we’re not sure if it will be a big hit in the US and other countries, but at least it makes for interesting translation.

Who wouldn’t want an English version of the game called “Sensible Power Training DS of the Adult who Supervision Japanese Sensible Power Official Approval Association After so long a time Cannot be Heard in the Person?”
