Sensible World of Soccer, Halo 2 and 3 top Xbox Live activity charts for week ending 12/17

The Xbox Live activity charts for the week ending December 17 have been released, and we see that the previous week's top four games, Halo 3, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Gears of War, and Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, are still hanging on to the same spots in the Xbox 360 top live titles. Sensible World of Soccer has now claimed the top spot of the top arcade titles, pushing down last week's number one arcade game, Arkadian Warriors.

Bungie Studios' Halo 3 topping the Xbox 360 Live titles charts this holiday season is no big surprise, what with people having more time to play and fragging other players online this holiday season. It's Sensible World of Soccer's rise to the top of the arcade titles chart that's a bit surprising. Maybe we're all missing the retro visuals of the original Sensi game, or maybe it's nostalgia that's getting us.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3, PC) from Infinity Ward and Activision, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (Xbox 360, Sony PS3, PC, Nintendo Wii) from Activision, Assassin's Creed (PC, Xbox 360, PS3) from Ubisoft Montreal, and Mass Effect are all in the 360 top live titles list, while Geometry Wars Evolved, Bomberman LIVE, and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 are in the top arcade titles list. Halo 2 tops the original Xbox top live games list, with Battlefield 2: MC and Star Wars: Battlefront 2 joining the Bungie game on the top three spots.
