Shadowrun to be out this June 1 in Europe
Microsoft has just given word that Shadowrun for both the PC and the Xbox 360 platforms will be released this June 1 in Europe. This game holds the honor of being the very first FPS to feature cross-platform multiplay. The series was developed by FASA Studios and hopefully it will remain faithful to the source material.
The game is based on the pen-and-paper RPG that came out in 1989. Players can choose to side with either the megacorporation RNA Global or a resistance group called The Lineage. Character classes include Human, Elf, Troll and Dwarf races, with each providing certain advantages and disadvantages. Multiplayer is really cool with Xbox Live Gold users being able to play against subscribers of Microsoft’s Games for Windows – LIVE service. Multiplayer battles can have up to 16 players so expect a lot of competition if you do decide to verge into it.
The PC version is slated to be released for £ 29.99 (about US$ 60), while the Xbox 360 version for £ 39.99 (about US$ 80). Ready your decks and get ready to pull-off a run, because Shadowrun is coming to your system very soon.
