Shellshock 2: Blood Trails announced; screens, trailer

Shellshock 2 - Image 1Eidos and Rebellion Studios have finally revealed Shellshock 2: Bloodlines, their upcoming Xbox 360, PS3, and PC sequel for Shellshock. Still shellshocked from Nam ’67? Check out the screens and trailer in the full article. You may be surprised.

Eidos Interactive and Rebellion Studios have finally lifted the curtain to their upcoming title scheduled for November 28: Shellshock 2: Blood Trails. I know some of you may have been shellshocked by previous Shellshock games (i.e. Nam ’67), but if you’re a fan of survival horror titles, this may be worth keeping an eye out for.

In Blood Trails, it’s the same Vietnam War setting, but story goes that some top-secret cargo called the “Whiteknight” (err, no connection with White Knight Story, obviously) got lost out in the jungle. A band of special ops soldiers is sent out to retrieve it, but as these plot lines usually go, none of them return from their mission.

Well, ok, one of them actually survives, but he’s not quite human any more by the time he exited the jungle. (dun dun dunnn)

Judging from the screens and trailer, Eidos CEO Jason Kingsely was right on the money before when he described this sequel as “a bit like Jacob’s Ladder or Apocalypse Now in movie terms.” Check ’em out:
