Significant DLC for Prince of Persia in the works

Prince of Persia - Image 1The Prince is already getting more royal bling-bling. Ubisoft is getting busy with DLC that’ll add “significant value” to Prince of Persia (PS3, Xbox 360, PC, DS). Producer Ben Mattes sits down with Gamersyde to talk about their new title.

“We certainly have plans for downloadable content, [but] we can’t really say more than that right now,” says Ubisoft producer Ben Mattes as he sat down with Gamersyde. DLC has always been part of the plan, saying that it’ll add “significant value” to Prince of Persia (PS3, Xbox 360, PC, DS).

If we’re going to do it, it’s going to be a new story, a new experience, maybe a prequel, maybe a sequel – we’re going to do something that really offers a lot of value for the player. In terms of when: sometime next year – I’m not sure of exactly when, it’s all still in discussion.

Mattes also points out that Prince of Persia will not be too easy, in response to criticism. Advanced gamers will reap rewards for adding more umph into playing – combos may interrupt enemy spawns, and smooth acrobatics affect the music.

One of their most important goals, Mattes pointed out, was that they want gamers to actually finish the game since a lot players get bored and simply leave some games unfinished. Clearly, they want that personal reflection to kick in when gamers finish.
