Silent Hill 5 scans from EGM

We’ve got some information for you that you guys will definitely like. SilentHill5.net has scans that talk all about Konami‘s horror opus, Silent Hill 5 (PS3, Xbox 360), courtesy of EGM. The mag scans have a ton of info for you, including some new insights into this game’s protagonist, Alex Shepherd.

Unlike previous Silent Hill games, where the characters had very little training in combat, this new protagonist is a ready fighter who’s good with a gun. According to Lead Designer Jason Allen, “While in the past, the hero was an everyman, we’re taking the action further this time. Alex does have military training, and he’s coming into the situation more equipped than previous heroes.”

The magazine also introduced one new wrinkle in the gameplay, which is the introduction of narrative-altering moral decisions. Says Allen, “Every decision has consequences and they will have cumulative effects on the overall outcome of the game. There is an interface for these decisions – some physical, some verbal – that will directly affect the game’s progression.”

In any case, you’ll definitely want to check out these scans, if only for the chance to see scary new creatures being swatted away by a lead pipe. Enjoy!
