The Unreal Engine recently got new lighting tech from a partnership with Illuminate Labs. It will be interesting to see how Red Mile will be making use of the tech since Frank Miller‘s original visual novel of “Sin City” mostly employs black and white as its color scheme.
Frank Miller’s stylized artwork is no stranger to video games. His most recent work was recently translated into video game glory in 300: March to Glory. Sin City may be a little overdue for a video game (if a movie release is a schedule to go by) but with the recent improvements on the engine’s lighting tech it may be all for the better.
We’re pretty excited on how Red Mile will approach the game and hopefully we’ll see some screenshots or videos (or anything really) soon. Updates as we get them.
