SingStar ETA in June? With 30 new songs!

It’s hard to believe, that I couldn’t see… June release for SingStar PS3? Okay, Sony hasn’t said anything official yet. But, as IGN asks, why would Sony then confirm that “new tracks and content specifically created for the PS3 game will be added to the online store on a monthly basis from June onwards“?

Hey, it’s as close as anyone can get to trying to nail down the date when everyone nails the high note. IGN adds, however, that this June estimate might only apply to PAL territories – Europe and Australia.

Anyway, besides that, Sony has also formally announced that SingStar for next-gen comes with 30 fresh tracks from Gwen, OutKast, Coldplay, Pussycat Dolls, Razorlight, Wolfmother, and so on, and so forth… And that the SingStore, which will be updated “on a monthly basis from June onwards,” will contain the back catalog of the PS2 SingStar tracks (that may not be included on the PS3 disc). PS2 mics will work with the PS3, and they’re developing a wireless mic as well, so you can strut the stage as you sing your heart out.

Strut the stage? Pussycat Dolls? Oh no, potential players across the world, unless you can qualify for “The Next Pussycat Doll” or something, for heaven’s sake, please spare us the video performance.
