Sins of a Solar Empire update: patches, expansion coming soon

Stardock President and CEO Brad Wardell recently revealed that RTS video game Sins of a Solar Empire will soon receive a lot of changes. This will come in the form of several patches and a full blown expansion. The full details await after the jump!

Sins of a Solar Empire fans, heads up! We just got informed about several updates regarding your favorite RTS from Stardock and Ironclad Games. According to Wired, the next patch is almost ready and an expansion is well on its way.

The news regarding the expansion came from no less than Stardock President and CEO Brad Wardell himself. While he wasn’t ready to give out any specifics, he did mention that some much-requested features will be granted.

Those, Wardell continued, would include a “full on campaign” mode as well as new playable factions. Regarding the new patches, Wardell also said that version 1.04 should be coming out soon and that will be closely followed with the release of version 1.1.

When pressed about the latter, Wardell explained that it will come with a revamped networking system. Aside from that, patch 1.1 will also have a whole new maximum graphics setting for those with top of the line computers.
