Six new Mafia 2 screenshots

Today we have new images of tough guy Vito as he climbs the ranks of Empire City’s criminal underworld in Mafia 2 (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC). Hit the full article for the screenshots.

GamersLand has posted a few screenshots of Mafia 2, 2K Czech and 2K Games‘ upcoming sandbox-type title. In this sequel, players will take control of Vito as they try and become a “made man”.

Anyway, some of the screenshots show off Mafia 2‘s in-game cover system – something that has been in more and more new titles these days. Judging from what we see in these images, it also looks like 2K Czech is well on their way to achieving that grittier and darker atmosphere that they’re shooting for.

Mafia 2 is currently slated for release sometime during the spring or summer of 2009. It will be available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC, with the PC version arriving later than the PS3 and Xbox 360 version.
