Six SingStars to come out by next year

Competitive Karaoke-heads can be rest assured that their star performance power (and what’s left of your pride, ahem) won’t be ending anytime soon. This news coming straight from Sony stated that “at least” six more titles under the SingStar spotlight will be coming out in the UK by next year.

With the PS2 SingStar title and the PlayStation 3’s own SingStar version coming out in April and June, respectively, Sony has a huge promise to fill for Sony fans. Lucy Garnett, SingStar‘s product manager, said, “The launch schedule for SingStar is more jam-packed than ever, with at least six titles pencilled in for release across PS2 and PS3 over the next 12 months.”

Sony was also quick to announce that they will also be committed to delivering more titles to the growing PS2 user base, with the next SingStar versions more than just specific releases for certain platforms. Garnet concluded, “Moving forward, our focus will be on developing the SingStar brand as a multi-platform IP rather than concentrating on specific releases.”
