SKATE’s Flickit controls video
Tired of memorizing buttons to perform different moves? The devs of Electronic Arts‘ SKATE (PlayStation 3 and Xbox360) seem to have the same frustration and decided to do something different. In this new trailer, we’ll get to see how the new control scheme plays out.
Okay, so it’s not so different. The Flickit controls are eerily similar to the controls in Fight Night: Round 3. The left analog stick would be used to steer while the right stick will be utilized for the tricks. The SKATE trailer shows some of the basic tricks like the ollie, kickflip, pop shove, 360 shove it, and 360 flip. It even shows the Tony Hawk controls and the SKATE controls side by side.
SKATE‘s Flickit controls will surely make gameplay interesting. What do you think? Will it be like the Wiimote problem (a lot of similar gestures netting the wrong move)? We’ll see that in the long run, in the meantime watch the trailer. Enjoy!
