Sky Player launch on XBL revealed

Soon there will be TV. Sky’s online TV service, Sky Player will soon be making its official debut on Microsoft‘s Xbox Live in late October.

Graeme Boyd, Microsoft Europe‘s Xbox community manager announced via tweet the official launch of the service: “October 27 – that’s the date when you’ll be able to watch TV from Sky on your Xbox 360.”

The Sky Service on XBL will allow viewers to watch a wide range of channels and programs via their consoles. However, the content to be offered initially will be in SD only, and won’t be recordable.
