Smash Bros. Brawl update: Ganondorf
In a mixed bag of goodies, there will always be some bad things included. And that theory also comes into play in Nintendo and Sora Ltd.’s Super Smash Bros. Brawl., where the mixed bag of beloved characters certainly includes some of the bitter ones. Case in point: Ganondorf, the big baddie from the Legend of Zelda series. Check him out in the full article.
We have Link, Zelda, Sheik, and Toon Link representing The Legend of Zelda contingent in Nintendo’s best-selling brawlfest Super Smash Bros. Brawl. But how about the bad guy? Of course, Ganondorf will be coming in to crash the party as well.
No doubt those who have devoted lots of time and effort into playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl already unlocked Ganondorf, but for the benefit of those who haven’t yet, here’s some tidbits that you may want to know about this nefarious villain.
Since he’s the bad guy, it makes sense that he’s willing to get down and dirty when it comes to smacking his opponents. Check out his side special move, the Flame Choke, where Ganondorf roughly grabs his opponent’s head and slams it into the ground. If done mid-air, he will painfully smack his victim down back to reality (or terra firma).
Ganondorf also has a darkness-based attack, which fits his menacing countenance. His up special move, Dark Dive, will make him grab and electrify his enemies. If the nearest opponent is out of reach, Ganondorf will just hit them with a piece of Darkness. Cool, yes?
Of course, the above moves can’t compare to his Final Smash, which will turn him into the terrifying Beast Ganon. The transformation is so terrifying, those who are unfortunate enough to be near him when he transforms will get paralyzed for a split second. If you still haven’t unlocked this baddie yet, check out the tips below on how to unlock him:
- Play 200 matches or more in Brawl
- Using either Zelda or Link, clear Classic on Hard difficulty or higher
- Get Ganondorf to join your party in The Subspace Emissary (To do that, save Link and Zelda in Subspace toward the end of the adventure. Ganondorf appears after you clear the stage.)
- With the exception of the last of the three methods listed above, you’ll need to face Ganondorf in a brawl and beat him after satisfying the above conditions to unlock him.
Not bad for a middle aged bad guy, eh? Expect more updates as they come, even if the game is already out for some time now.
