Smash Bros. Dojo Character Section Updated
The official Super Smash Bros. Brawl website has updated with new character biographies for both Zero Suit Samus and Wario!
This isn’t a pure character addition. Rather, under certain conditions, Samus will “remove” her Power Suit. Whoa! That’s a woman under there! Naturally, Zero Suit Samus loses power and stamina, so she should fight using the speed she gains instead. Also, her gun transforms and can be used as a whip. Of the two, one might consider the whip to be her main weapon. And don’t worry—you’ll still be able to play as standard Samus, too.
I think that almost confirms that Zero Suit Samus will be a transformation of Samus and not a separate character. At first I believed you’d need to use a button combo to transform into her, kind of like Zelda into Sheik, but now I think differently. From what the description says, it seems more likely that Samus loses her Power Suit after taking massive damage or something. In Metroid Zero Mission, her blaster was able to stun enemies so that might be an ability she gains as well.
This time, the Wario you know from the “WarioWare” series makes an appearance. In trying to embody the flavor of the original game, we’ve aimed to give him some rather…excessive movements. What does that mean, you ask? You’ll just have to wait and see. The flatulence you saw in the movie is a fantastic move we’re tentatively calling the Wario Waft. The more time passes, the more Wario’s gas builds up…
We should have figured that the Wario we’d see is going to be from Wario Ware by the helmet on his head… Looks like he’ll be able to use moves modelled after the microgames of the series he stars in. He looks as disgusting as ever…
Only one new revealed character remains – Solid Snake. However, they’re likely going to “introduce” the old characters as well. That would mean that Snake, Mario, Link, Kirby, and Pikachu are left from the trailer. After that, we’ll go into new characters that we haven’t seen before!
