SMSPlus – Master System / Game Gear Emulator for the PSP Released

Chris Swindle has just released his port of SMSPlus v1.2, a SMS / Game Gear emulator.  Here is what he had to say:

I have a release of SMSPlus GG/SMS emulator which I have been developing for a few weeks, as it is now running at full speed, full screen with sound, I thought that I would release the first public version.

Here are the details:

This is the initial public release of SMSPlus1.2 for the PSP, here are the details:

Features:

  • SMSPlus 1.2 core used
  • Zooming of SMS & GG to fullscreen on the PSP
  • 60fps with sound
  • ZIP ROM support
  • Go back to fileselector with L & R shoulder buttons
  • Buttons:
          X – Button 1
          O – Button 2
          Start – Start (on GG)

Future changes:

  • Add loading and saving of SRAM
  • 2 player link up cable emulation
  • Allow option of keeping the aspect ratio
  • Tidy up source and release
