SMS-type keyboard planned for PC, Xbox 360
Language software specialist firms WordLogic and Cre8txt are planning to release an all-purpose application and a keyboard to match which will cater to PC and Microsoft Xbox 360 users who are more accustomed to the SMS encoding system.
At this point, the concept is pending patents but there are already plans on how it can be used in both platforms. By bringing in intuitive software, users of the product can be more efficient.
What’s planned to come out is a new type of keyboard with a layout that’s not far in design from a mobile handset’s alphanumeric pad. With multiple presses, text can be manipulated and constructed. The software can process the data as it is or better yet, transform SMS jargon to common full text. This can be useful when chatting with other players in server lobbies or within online games.
WordLogic President Frank Evanshen says “we are truly excited to have Cre8txt Ltd license our world class technology.” He adds that the partnership can very well become a lasting and fruitful one.
