Some Loco Roco News from E3!

We have heard the buzz on Loco Roco before, but we never really figured out what it’s all about. All we know is that this is the new fun senseless game that people at the Tokyo Game Show are raving about. We also know that it’s a little like Katamari Damacy, but thanks to E3, we know that there’s a whole lot more to this yellow goo.

It seems that the Loco Roco is a peaceful set of creatures whose world were suddenly invaded by mean Moja Corps. These Moja Corps wants to take these lovely Loco Rocos to their planet. It is then your objective to roll these Loco Roco to safety. Using the left and right shoulder buttons of the PSP, you have to tilt your PSP in order to let these Loco Roco run away from the cruel Moja Corps. Now, as you tumble, you can get your fellow Loco Rocos and become one big blob on a roll. You can press the circle button to break your big Loco Roco if you are in narrow passages. You can press circle again to gather them again.

The game has around 40 stages to roll in and 6 Loco Rocos to play with. If you rolled right, you can get a lovely house to relax in as well as a couple of mini-games if you still want to tumble. The game also supports a wireless connection, whether its multiplayer or not is still out of the question.  The game relishes in lovely pastel and 2D animation and honestly, its blobby cute that it’s irresistable. It is slated for release in Europe and in the US on September 2006. Now that’s a way to roll up summer.
