Some Test Drive Unlimited info and screens

TDU (PSP)

It has been quite a while since we last gave you an update of the Atari-published, Melbourne House-developed game, Test Drive Unlimited. The game, which will most likely grace store shelves this coming February, will be home to an awesome line up of licensed cars from more than 30 of the world’s most exclusive manufacturers.

Aside from that, it would also cater to a 1,500km2 Hawaiian island and a 1,600km of diverse open roads. Also, you could personalize your cars with options from the actual manufacturers’ catalog. When your ride is ready to race, why don’t you create challenges from more than 30 game rules and settings. Then, there is the Master Points system wherein you earn points for racing, driving, air-time, drifting, and winning. These points could then unlock new races and challenges.

It also claims to be the first PSP racing game to allow its gamers to play via the internet. Here are the game’s online features:

  • Online infrastructure gives players access via any WiFi spot to race against any of thousands of other players from around the world.
  • Wireless Direct Multiplayer system allows up to 4 players to compete in adhoc competitions via direct WiFi connection.
  • Players can take part in events and challenges, visit car dealers and car parts stores, then meet and race with other online players.
