Sonic Rush Adventure marks the hedgehog’s comeback: screens and details
The hero that many Sega fans love will return to the DS for another spin: after Sonic Rush comes Sonic Rush Adventure. We covered Sega’s announcement last April, but here’s hot new info about the game.
The blue hedgehog will still be running in 2D this time around, battling the big bosses in 3D while utilizing the dual screens in both situations. Sega promises the title to be action packed, spread throughout 14 stages set in both land and sea. Yes, Sonic will be doing some sailin’.
As the title implies, the game will offer more adventure since players will be able to explore land as Sonic to collect valuable treasure and items. After acquiring the good stuff, Tails can build a fleet for you; up to 5 ships including submarines, water-bikes, and hovercrafts. Jumping from island to island, the touch screen function will offer exciting new ways to control your ship and allow busting tricks ala Tony Hawk – all while fighting pirates and collecting rings at the same time.
More features of the title include:
- New action-packed gameplay will have gamers snowboarding down an avalanche, spring boarding off giant mushrooms, and hang gliding across wide gaps
- Players will navigate the oceans and perform aerial tricks to avoid treacherous water mines and aim their cannons during ship-to-ship battles by using the stylus and touch screen on the Nintendo DS
- Two-player modes, face-off in intense dual screen races or collect the most items in exciting mission battles
If that’s not enough to make you excited, here are some screenshots.
