SonicDS v0.1 Alpha
If you think you can never have enough Sonic the Hedgehog games for the DS, you can add this homebrew from Bonic to your Sonic collection. Bonic’s contribution is called SonicDS v0.1 Alpha.
This is Bonic’s first attempt at making a homebrew game and we think that’s a good enough reason to turn on the Applause Sign. The game is in its alpha state which is the code word for “buggy.” Included in the list of bugs are:
- Route10 is messed up
- Game has location glitches
- Sonic can’t jump like “a crazy idiot”
- AI has not been added
The top screen does nothing but simply displays the Sonic DS Demo image. The game takes place on the bottom screen. On the other hand, early adopters of SonicDS like it for its sound, no lag, level builder and just because it features Sonic the Hedgehog. Turn on the Applause Sign again.
You can wait for the coming updates if you don’t like alpha versions but if you’re a true-blue Sonic Fanboy how can you resist this game?
