Sony Acquires Online, Card-Game Maker, Worlds Apart
Sony Computer Entertainment recently went on a shopping spree. No, they didn’t buy Fendi capri pants and the likes, what they bought were “key assets” of Worlds Apart Productions. Along with that purchase, SCE is also busy establishing a new studio called Sony Online Entertainment-Denver, which will compose of former Worlds Apart employees.
In case you have no idea what Worlds Apart Productions is, they have produced card games based on game, movie, and TV franchises –such as Auto Assault, The Lord of the Rings, and Star Trek – plus its own online multiplayer strategy series, Star Chamber. And along with the announcement that they went shopping, SCE also launched a website called Gamers Round Table which will be under the capable hands of Sony Online Entertainment-Denver.
