Sony bursts Splitfish bubble too soon on PS3 rumble

Mummy says no rumble for you, dear... - Image 1News does spread around fast. Only a day after Splitfish proudly announced its “new dynamic force feedback system for use with the PlayStation 3 and other next-generation video game systems”, Sony has already issued a response to the “offer” and it doesn’t appear to be affirmative.

Speaking to GameDaily BIZ, SCEA“>Dave Karraker of SCEA says, “No one at SCEA has been in touch with this company. At this time, we have no plans to incorporate any kind of force feedback into our SIXAXIS controller.”

Bummer. Talking about bursting Splitfish’s bubble so early on in the party. The SensorFX can primarily be embedded in controllers, while also being able to work as an add-on. So, if Sony claims disinterest with this product, who’s gonna get it on their games? I mean, obviously, if Sony won’t get it on their console, it would be pretty futile for developers to incorporate it on their gameplays, right?

We’ll just keep you posted on any more updates regarding this. But give it a thought, Sony. Maybe with SensorFX, you can now truly get an Emmy (LOL).
