Sony CEO Howard Stringer has responded to threats from Activision CEO Bobby Kotick, dismissing them as “noise.”
“He likes to make a lot of noise,” Stringer said during the Allen & Co conference in Sun Valley, Idaho. “He’s putting pressure on me and I’m putting pressure on him. That’s the nature of business.”
Kotick said last month that if Sony doesn’t institute a price cut for the PlayStation 3 console, Activision may pull out support for it as well as the PSP. Other publishers like Koei Tecmo have also been asking for a PS3 price cut, only in more polite terms.
