Sony Japan announces new Matte Bronze PSP, Slim Cradle, and microphone
Sony Japan has unveiled via press wire three new products it’s planning to release for the months of March and April.
While the new microphone and PSP color are certainly interesting news, we have to say that the new cradle attachment for the Slim could be a potential hot-seller. Details for these three are in the full article.
Keep those bookmarks to your choice importer sites ready, folks, as Sony Japan announces a slew of new PlayStation Portable products for Japan for March and April.
The first deal that’s expected to be available by March 19 is Sony’s new PSP microphone, just in time for its handheld’s Skype service coming on March 18.
Two bundles will be made available: The single pack (PSPJ-15014) which will come with one mike and will cost 2,500 Yen (US$ 24), and the twin pack (PSPJ-15015) which will come with two microphones and will cost 4,000 Yen (US$ 39).
The second product being made available is a new Cradle (PSP-S360) accessory for the PSP Slim. Designed to work with the previously released 1Seg TV tuner, the Cradle will enable Slim owners to treat their handheld more like a literal TV set thanks to its included remote control and charger function.
A Cradle and D-Terminal cable combo pack (PSPJ-15013) has also been announced, enabling users to jack up their console to their HDTV. The Cradle will cost 4,800 Yen (US$ 46) while the combo pack will cost 6,500 Yen (US$ 63). Both accessories are expected to go on sale by April 24.
Last on our list is a limited edition PSP Matte Bronze Value Pack (PSPJ-20002). This bundle will include a PSP Slim in a Bronze Matte finish – a first for the handheld – as well as a D Terminal AV cable, a cleaning cloth, and a pouch.
The battery, charger, and 32MB memory stick come standard with the PSP. The Matte Bronze Pack is expected to retail in Japan on April 24, at an expected cost of 23,800 Yen (US$ 230)
