Sony LF-PK1 LocationFree Player now $ 200 cheaper!

IronLung spotted this while browsing through Amazon’s shelves. Remember the Sony LF-PK1 LocationFree player (a.k.a. Sony’s iTV) that works with PSPs? You know, the one that, for $ 350 does what PiMPStreamer does for free, which is to stream digital media to your PSP?

It’s now more than half-price! Amazon’s selling it for $ 150, two hundred dollars and 57% less than the old price.

“Whoop-dee-freaking-do,” we hear some of you say. “PiMPStreamer still does that for free!” True. The latest version of DickyDick1969’s brainchild is still very much available at our download site for the low, low price of whatever your ISP is charging you to stay online long enough to download the homebrew. But LF-PK1 also works with PCs and the 12-inch LocationFree TV (which explains why we’re posting this under Gadgets as well as PSP), so it may have other uses – especially if you’re not Apple-centric but want iTV capabilities.

Still, with two hundred dollars off the price, the LocationFree’s now within reach of more wallets than before. That’s an improvement.
