After a whole day of complaints tumbling about the Internet, it’s now been known that only the original “fat” PS3 models are affected by this problems. The Slim models work perfectly fine and appears to be immune from the error code: 8001050F.
Sony’s technical support now tries to placate everyone by telling them that the fix will be coming in the morning and that you won’t have to mourn over your trophies of save data because they’ll be fine as well.
Hopefully PSN will be up and running and back to normal in a short while. Hang in there, guys.
