Sony responds to Skype hype for PSP
Other than the official Sony CES website, there’s doesn’t seem to be any other word on Skype supposedly coming to the PSP. Fortunately, Sony’s finally responded to all the hubbub going around downtown Internet.
Their comment didn’t reveal a lot about the Skype-PSP feature per se, but their statement was pretty much as real as it gets: we’re bound to hear about something very soon. The statement’s in the full article.
Earlier, we heard about Sony supposedly revealing Skype for the PSP come CES 2008. This bit of news came in from the official Sony CES website, but other than that, there doesn’t seem to be any other word on the matter.
Now, Sony’s actually responded to all the hubbub going around downtown Internet, with an all-too-familiar comment that neither confirms nor denies all the speculation of what this PSP Skype feature will entail. Speaking to SPOnG, Sony’s commented the following:
As we’ve mentioned in the past, we are constantly evaluating new technology and features to add to PSP and further details will be announced shortly.
Though they didn’t reveal much about the feature itself, the simple fact that there are details to be revealed seems to be pounding the last nail on the coffin. Could this be a mere hint or an actual confirmation?
Here’s one sure thing though: CES 2008 is primed to get one big announcement from Sony. And you can bet your last Skype dollar credit that we’ll let you guys hear of anything once the bomb – any bomb – drops.
