Sony trademarks “Playview”
There’s a lot of things that Sony could do with a trademark like “Playview”, but since this one was filed for use with more than just video game software, something interesting might be coming.

The trademark is involved with portable electronics, and may be used for digital reading materials, wireless networks, displaying and downloading content. A new eBook of sorts for video games, maybe?
It’s all speculation at this point, but judging by the trademark name, it could be a new initiative for a video game service. Playview could be part of the premium PSN push, or a way to provide information or content regarding video games.
We’re getting pretty close to E3, so it’s likely we’ll hear something when it’s Sony’s turn at the spotlight.
