Sony, Winter X Games heat up Aspen
If you’re anywhere near Colorado, you might want to change routes and head over to Aspen’s fine slopes. The Winter X Games are rocking the ski resort town, and they’re with Sony for some extra oomph. The PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Portable are flexing their hardware chops there, and they’re loaded with Gran Turismo 5 Prokogue and Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice to turn up the heat.
Sony Computer Entertainment America is bannering its on-going partnership with the Winter X Games which forms a tandem that are firing up the slopes of Aspen. From January 24 to 27, fans will be treated to an extravaganza that features the best from both the gaming and extreme sports worlds.
As the snowboarding, skiing, and snowmobile events tear up the snow, Sony’s PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable are turning up the heat for everyone to enjoy. Currently showcased are big titles Gran Turismo 5 Prologue for the PS3 and Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice for the PSP.
In addition to allowing fans to sample the two titles, Sony will also host a face-off between Winter X Games champs Gretchen Bleiler (2007 Winter X Games Gold and Olympic Silver medalist for snowboarding); Simon Dumont (2007 X Games Silver medalist for skiing); and Tucker Hibber (2007 X Games Gold Medalist for snowmobiling).
Sony says it’s raring to show off Gran Turismo 5 Prologue in its 1080p form. Fans of handheld gaming should love the intensity of Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice as you try to rid a city of its scum. If you’re anywhere near Colorado right now, it’s not too late for you to gate-crash on the fun.
