Space Pong version 0.1 for the Nintendo DS
Space Pong by Circus is pretty fun, as whether you’re playing with a friend or by yourself, you’ll find yourself laughing out loud at this blast from the past. The game is essentially Pong with a space-like background, a meteor for a ball, and two space platforms as paddles.
The game was made using PaliB, and the author has also stated that this game was conceptualized last March 31 and will exit its beta testing this April 4. Circus mentioned that the game is still full of bugs, with one such bug having meteor pass through the bottom half of the platform and instantaneously killing that player. Oh well, it IS in it’s Beta stage. While trying it out, we did notice some problems with collision detection, but other than that, it’s still a fun spin on a video game classic.
Installing the game is relatively simple, just extract the .rar file into a folder and copy it to you flash card. No fuss, no problems. The controls for the left player consist of up and down on the d-pad while the right player uses X as up and B as down.
