Spellborn release date, quest-writing contest
The Chronicles of Spellborn, one of the most highly anticipated new MMORPGs in recent years, is now getting prepped for a Q1 2007 release, with the final Alpha version set for completion on November 15. The final Closed Beta phase will then start immediately afterwards. An Open Beta phase with Fileplanet is also being planned for early Q1 2007.
In other Spellborn news, the developers have started a contest in which community members can send in their submissions for a quest that will grant Spooky Bob, one of the many NPCs in the Spellborn world, his final rest.
Spooky Bob is a regular sight in the Quarterstone Graveyard, and needs to resolve some unfinished issues in the city of Quarterstone before he can finally cross over and enjoy his long-overdue eternal rest. The best and most entertaining quest will be integrated into the retail version of The Chronicles of Spellborn, so get cracking and start getting those creative juices flowing. Hey, getting something you wrote into a major game release equates to mad bragging rights, y’know.
