The game’s lead designer, Steven Masters, recently told Kikizo that Conviction‘s Xbox 360 console exclusivity had nothing to do with the development team not being able to handle the PS3. It was just a “business decision.”

Splinter Cell: Conviction is currently being prepped for an October release on Xbox 360 and PC.
