Splitgate 2 forums over to PS5 and PS4 in 2025

In the summer of 2021, when we released Splitgate on PS4, we did n’t know what to expect. We certainly were n’t prepared for the countless online gamers who wanted to play our take on a first-person shooter. I believe that the majority of developers have the idea of creating the sport of their dreams, but time, technology, experience, and a lot of different factors frequently get in the way. With Splitgate, we made a game we loved and that our awesome community embraced, but we did n’t make the game of our dreams. I firmly believe that Splitgate 2 is the game I had a dreamed of creating when Nicholas Bagamian and I teamed up in a Stanford bedroom and made the decision to use forums in a sniper.

We’ve been working on Splitgate 2 for a while, so we’re excited to share more information with you. We’ll had a lot more to communicate in August.
For today, I can discuss the basics. Splittgate 2 is a first-person sniper for online created with Unreal Engine 5. It’s free-to-play, it has a party system, and it’s coming to PS5 and PS4 in 2025. Oh, and it has gateways, of training.
We had 20 individuals working on the first version of Splitgate before they had created it. The earlier success of Splitgate has led us to opportunities that have allowed us to expand our crew as a result of excited people. I’m delighted to collaborate with experienced Riot, Ubisoft, and many other designers who are responsible for some of my favorite game. A few college graduates no longer attend 1047 Games and are hoping the servers wo n’t crash once more. We’re a group of trained gaming soldiers making a AAA sniper that we hope will wonder, amaze, and delight you.
After much reflection with the group, I came to the realization that the best way to get the game’s best feasible form required a true sequel, despite the very difficult task of stopping development on Splitgate in 2022. We had to begin clean, in some ways. That meant developing from the ground up in False Engine 5, with entirely new personality types, new charts, new weapons, and even fresh website walls and portals.
Though we’re a multiplayer-only shooter and we do n’t have a single-player campaign, we hired an amazing narrative writer to build out our universe. Free Splitgate 2 cartoons are available in our mobile app right away if you want to examine the rich legend of Splitgate 2. In the future, you can anticipate more cinematics and another surprises that transcend the sport. Visit our amazing community on Discord to become the first to learn about the most recent developments in SplitGate 2.
We wanted to make sure we had some incredibly savage character hides and arms when making Splitgate 2 in Unreal Engine 5. That includes the free basic coats and arms, which I made sure to look stronger than anything in our first game. Our aim was to provide players with excellence from design to gameplay to visuals to sound design.
When we began developing for Splitgate 2, we had a few more goals in mind. One question was,” How do we keep this enjoyable year-round?” Build a sport that can last ten years or more, was the next big thing to do after that.
That implies that we have been considering ways to keep Splitgate 2 new and active long after its release. It’s not just about making certain we have plenty of information available when we release. It begins with the fundamentals of architecture. Although the first Splitgate was based on well-known industry shooters, we soon realized that to create a modern game that is playable, we needed to create the necessary components for a rich and exciting gameplay loop.
That definitely starts with our faction-based online, which we’re not ready to share information on right now. However, our news trailer demonstrates a lot of it.
There’s a lot more to demonstrate with Splitgate 2 coming to PS5 and PS4 in 2025. Wishlist now to make sure you do n’t miss anything.
