Spore – Confirmed on handhelds!

AMN (Advanced Media Network) had a chance to ask Will Wright about Spore development on the various handheld systems. Spore is a game of evolution set to be released on the PC in 2007. This title was thought to be only for the PC previously, but after Ray Almeda from AMN talked with Will Wright, it has been confirmed that Spore is being produced on handheld systems such as the Sony PSP, Nintendo DS and various mobile phones. Wright has not commented on what phones in particular will receive this game, but he stated that the phone version will be the one receiving most of the focus in development. According to previous reports, Spore was to be released in 2006 in mobile phones, but from the most recent reports from AMN, Spore is to be released on mobile devices in 2007.
