Square Enix looking to add 2-3 more key franchises to their lineup

Wada-san said that the new key franchises would get their first games by 2011. With the acquisition of Eidos, Square Enix may have more surprises up their sleeve than another RPG. The content of the new games and whether or not Eidos will have a hand in them still needs to be revealed.

Note that these aren’t just new games coming – Square is going triple-A with new franchises. If you’re familiar with Square Enix’s history in the industry, you’d be just as interested as I am in seeing those games unfold.
