Square Enix mum on status of FFCC: The Crystal Bearers for Wii
For those of you who are still waiting for updates on Square Enix‘s long postponed Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers title for the Wii, it looks like you’ll just have to wait a little bit longer. Representatives from the company refused to comment on the status of the game when questioned about it during the recent GDC 2008 event. Find out more about what they had to say in the full article.
It’s been a long while since our last update on Square Enix‘s Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers for the Wii. During the video game company’s recent presentation at the GDC 2008, representatives refused to comment on the game’s status.
Square Enix Producer Toshiro Tsuchida and lead programmer Fumiaki Shiraishi showed up during the event to show off their upcoming WiiWare title for the next-gen console with Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King. However, when pressed after their presentation regarding the The Crystal Bearers‘ current status, they only told everyone to “wait for a press release”.
This leaves us to wonder whether FFCC: My Life as a King will act as a permanent replacement to the previously scheduled title on the Wii and spell the end of the retail Crystal Chronicles game. We guess this means that Square Enix just isn’t ready to show us what they have up their sleeves for now.
Either way, we’ll be sure to keep tabs on this game for any new developments. Keep coming back to this spot for more updates as we get them.
