Square Enix to consider multiplatform release for Final Fantasy Versus XIII

All evidence so far points to Final Fantasy Versus XIII staying exclusive to the PS3, but it seems Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada isn’t quite ready to close the door in Microsoft’s face.

 

 

 

 

All evidence so far points to Final Fantasy Versus XIII staying exclusive to the PS3, but it seems Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada isn’t quite ready to close the door in Microsoft’s face.

 

At a Q&A session following an investors meeting in Tokyo, Wada was asked if Versus XIII would follow in Final Fantasy XIII‘s footsteps and become a multiplatform title. His answer: “We’ll be looking into it internally until right before the formal announcement.”

 

The “formal announcement” here is probably Versus XIII‘s official unveiling. The game is expected to show up at E3 next month, although director Tetsuya Nomura has said before that that might not happen.
