More screenshot joy coming right for you in this latest update of Super Mario Galaxy, one of the Nintendo Wii’s most highly-anticipated titles that’s about an Italian plumber with a knack for saving princesses. Let’s take a look-see at what’s new with Mario, Rosetta, and the planets he’ll be romping through for those cute, glowing Starmen.
It’s been said over and over again with this game, but it bears repeating: the graphics are looking gorgeous, and even more so when you consider that it’s being rendered on the Nintendo Wii’s hardware. One thing we particularly like about this batch is that we get to see what could be the main hub of the game itself, or the place where we select locations to blast ourselves off to (much like Delfino Plaza). Awesome.
Looking at the screenshots, however, it also begs the question – what’s next for Mario after Galaxy? Nintendo seems to have pushed the limit of what the plumber can do with this game. Perhaps a completely-alien world? Or maybe Mario in the modern era? Time will only tell, as we can’t really see this being the final Super Mario game. Enjoy the screenshots!
