Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron introduces Asajj Ventress

Some may remember her from the short-lived “Star Wars: Clone Wars” animated series, as well as a recurring character in the “Star Wars” comic book series. However, in line with the continuation of the Star Wars video game franchise, Asajj Ventress can finally show us what she can do as she steps onto center stage as a playable character in LucasArtsStar Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron.

While this isn’t her first appearance in a video game (she was a downloadable character off the XBL in the Xbox version of Star Wars Battlefront II), this is the first time that she will be included as one of the main characters players can control in a Star Wars game. In true Sith style, Asajj wields those dual red lightsabers with deadly efficiency. However, it’s kind of sad seeing that they did away with the “saber-nunchucks” that was her trademark weapon in the Star Wars Expanded Universe.

Still, it’s nice to see such a proud Sith villainess like her make her way onto this exciting handheld game that’s sure to get everyone’s attention when it finally ships out this October. In the meantime, take a look at this wicked video of her in action.
