StarCraft 2 update: introducing the Terran Banshee
Terran forces never really had much options when it came to air-to-ground combat in Blizzard Entertainment’s StarCraft 2. Battleships were expensive, while Wraiths had limited firepower. To make up for it, the humans fighting for survival went through several experiments before finally perfecting the Banshee – a tactical strike aircraft.
A recent update on StarCraft 2‘s official site provided precious info about this new flier. Equipped with backlash cluster rockets and twin turbofans, Banshees can be employed in hit-and-run tactics to decimate ground forces. Not only is it fast and loaded, but also cheap and more economical.
These sweet rides also come packed with Wraith cloaking fields, giving them the ability to rain on ground forces while staying unharmed (unless detected, of course). Terrain won’t stop this unit from hunting down ground-based foes, making it invaluable in jungle and desert combat.
